Doom 3 Walkthrough Screenshot 1. Sarge updates your objectives. Ammo is on the desk ahead, and armor is behind the crates to the left. Heal at the health station farther left then continue through the door. PieceMaker64 writes with this creepy tip: "In the boxes just above the word "New," you can see two lights close together. If you strafe, you see that these are not a part of the wall and are indeed eyes that are watching you. It does not appear that they can be harmed. As you get closer, you hear a gasp and they go away."

He's requested a door code of 901, but the "Invalid Number in Code" email reveals that the 0 has been replaced with a 3, making the code 931. Use the blue panel seen here on the left to disable the security lock on the cabinets along the right wall.

Doom 3 Walkthrough Screenshot 16. The voice beckons, "Follow me." These bloody footsteps lead you to this door, where everything goes red and you hear a baby crying. Freaky.

Doom 3 Walkthrough Screenshot 18. Head through the door on the left and Sarge tells you there are two ways to proceed, both listed on this display. You can activate the EFR system, good if you like jumping puzzles, or extend the service bridge, better if you prefer fighting. Henry Nelson's PDA on the right has the code 651 for storage cabinet 064 -- only accessible for those who extend the service bridge. On the other hand, you'll get the plasma gun in this level if you activate the EFR, plus access to another storage area. Update: Here's a news flash from Ben H. : "In Alpha Labs 4, there's the choice of the EFR System or the Service Bridge at step 18, and the walkthrough says that if you extend the Service Bridge, you won't get the plasma gun. However, I found a place where you can get it anyway. In step 57, you can walk up to the armor and the wall opens like a false door. You go down a passage, through another door, and into a room with health kits, ammo, and an adrenaline booster. In the middle of the room is the plasma gun! You pick it up and about five imps spawn sequentially in the room. When you kill them and go back to where you entered, there are two Z-Sectors waiting for you. After this you continue normally. So it turns out you can get the plasma gun both ways!"

Doom 3 Walkthrough Screenshot 19. Before we tackle the two paths, here is a diversion for those who really like a challenge. Descend the ladder to the right. You'll find a medkit and an armor belt.

Doom 3 Walkthrough Screenshot 25. Return up the ladder. If you choose to activate the EFR, this platform moves into place, allowing you to jump across to the other side of the room. If you prefer to extend the service bridge, you can skip ahead.

Doom 3 Walkthrough Screenshot 26. Leap onto this bridge as it rotates into place. The door ahead is locked, so jump off the bridge when it arrives at the unlocked door on the right.

You'll find a clip and shells in the hidden area. You've now caught up to those who have extended the service bridge. Skip ahead.

Doom 3 Walkthrough Screenshot 70. Of course, if you have the plasma gun, it's time to let 'er rip! My preference still goes to the chaingun for this fight, but you'll want all the firepower you can muster against Vagary.
